Atalie studied Psychology and Anthropology at UW-Madison.  A shoulder injury lead to her discovery of acupuncture. Through the course of her therapy, she realized that Oriental Medicine improved not only her pain but her overall well-being.  Regular acupuncture treatments also helped alleviate stress and improve her sleep and digestion issues.  After studying the field, she ultimately enrolled in an Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine program. She graduated with her Masters of Oriental Medicine from the Austin, Texas-based AOMA the Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Fall 2014.

Afterwards, she practiced in San Antonio, where she cared for patients of all ages.  At the clinic, she enjoyed providing a whole spectrum of treatment modalities including acupuncture, cupping, tui na, and gua sha, in addition to preparing custom herbal tinctures.  After a few years, Atalie and her husband moved to Florida to be near family.
